 FOR
SALE: 1936 Harley-Davidson VLH with 1936 HD sidecar
This is a very rare, completely restored 1936 Harley-Davidson VLH
motorcycle of which only 2046 were produced. Having a matching 1936
Harley-Davidson sidecar makes it even more rare. This is the last year
of the VL and first year of the 80 ci engine. The lighted Corbin
speedometer was a rare option but correct for this model. The
restoration is brand-new and very correct.
The bike has less than 200 miles since completion of the cosmetic and
mechanical restoration. It is powered by a flathead side valve engine.
It starts on the second kick and runs strong. The three-speed
transmission shifts cleanly and solidly. It has the original factory
color scheme as it was when new. It has all original sheetmetal on both
the motorcycle and sidecar. A correct 1936 VLH mirror has been obtained
and installed on the bike since these pictures were taken.
1936 was the first year that Harley-Davidson produced sidecars without a
door. A correct reproduction, folding windscreen has been purchased but
not yet installed.
Digital pictures are available upon request. US$25,000 firm! |
