1923 Indian Scout Engine -600cc- Overhauled |

 $2550USD 1923 Indian Scout engine, 54V737 . Rare blind barrels
in very good shape used
only 1920-1924. Overhauled in New Zealand 4 years ago by an auto
mechanic and old Indian Guru with 30 years experience.
He may not be the best for external finishing, never was, but his work inside,
where it matters, has always spoken for itself here. Has been
stored in dry workshop, heavily oiled inside and all air intakes were
plugged or taped from the atmosphere when I got it. I prettied it up by
painting the barrels and its been on display every since, I would turn
it over several times a year, still plenty of oil all through it.
Has a Schebler carb, complete, likely the right one but I cant see
numbers. Engine has
excellent compression. I have looked thru the removable valve caps on
the top and it has clean bore and piston and valve faces, original cast
iron pistons and original valves from the looks. This may be a freshened
engine or complete overhaul, I cant say with certainty and am selling it
as freshened rather than completely overhauled. But it sure feels like a
new one, nice and tight, If freshened up you can expect nothing was
overlooked, If overhauled, having seen and owned a number of engines
in many stages from this guy I would hazard a bet everything has been
restored to as-new condition inside, valves, pistons, pins and bearings.
This guy had a semi load of NOS Indian parts (I know I ended up with
them) and these would have been used throughout right down to new old
stock roller bearing cages etc. However due to not being the one to do the work I can only offer
this "as-is, no returns" so
ask me lots of questions first but no, I won't open it up for
inspection! 8-)
This engine would be deemed correct and be right at home
in any 1920 to 1924 scout and would not be out of place on a 25-27 scout
either.
Note: I can also provide a transmission and primary which may
need restoring, if required.
 Item will
be boxed and shipped by me, the seller and at my expense
by sea freight to the nearest UTI (Union Transport International)
freight forward station nearest you or a major port. This may be some
distance away and you need to arrange pickup from there. Left is
an example box of the last engine we shipped last year, yours will
be the same. We do all the paperwork too, No import tariffs (for
USA), No
surprises.

and to-date there has been none.

Buyers responsibility
It is up to the buyer to arrange pickup or on-freight from the UTI CFS, they
will phone when its in the depot. We provide the phone number of the UTI
office in your area for you to find out costs for clearance, documentation
and door-to-door delivery after it reaches the destination. It is also up to
the buyer to commission us to purchase additional insurance for full value
(other than the standard shippers indemnity), for this we commission Marine
Insurance International and is 2.25% of the purchase price.
Taxes? -while it is your responsibility to
check, for American buyers there are no known issues for importing to the US as these are
American made machines 'coming home' and no tax is applicable.

Warranty. While
there is no implied warranty or guarantees on our brokered sales, we
pride ourselves on our detailed and accurate descriptions which are
honest to the best of the owners and my knowledge and none of our
customers have been any less than satisfied.
